About Fulia Saree

The Fulia saree is named after Fulia  of West Bengal, specially known for its saree with the jacquard design. Fine cotton yarn ranging from 60s to 100s is used both in warp and weft. Fulia has been famous for its elegant designs inspired by nature: designs such as Ganga-Jamuna, Benkipar, Bhomra, Rajmahal, Anspar, Do-Rookha, Visva-Bharati, Brindamani Mour-Par, Nilambari. The Santipuri saree is a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bengal. A weaver takes around 2-3 days to complete a saree.

COLOUR, TEXTURE & WASH CARE INFORMATION

General:

  • Colour and Texture of the product may slightly vary than that in the photograph.
  • Dry Clean only, Cold Wash recommended. Colour may bleed in case of natural dyes.

Embroidery:

  • May have slight irregularity which is characteristic of any hand-woven, hand-embroidered or hand-crafted product. Connoisseurs worldwide love handmade products, more because of these small variations in regular pattern as that adds to the unique charm of these products which is missing in machine-made products.

Handwoven:

  • Missing yarn, slobs and uneven yarn contrasts are general phenomena in hand-woven products. This is a natural outcome and inherent characteristic of the hand-weaving procedure which makes the products all the more unique and beautiful.
